Buddy and Pedro a pair of African penguins at the Toronto zoo will soon be split up to mate with females. Buddy and Pedro perform mating rituals with each other and sleep together every night, but because they are part of an endangered species, the zoo wants to ensure that their genes get passed on by pairing them up with females.
Maybe the zoo should give the baby penguin eggs to Buddy and Pedro to raise since it’s obvious these two don’t want to be separated!

Malaysia’s First Openly Gay Pastor to Wed!
Ouyang Wen Feng co-founded the first gay friendly church in Kuala Lumpur, in 2007. Malaysia is a muslim majority country and homosexuality is punishable by caning and up to 20 years in prison, although there is a thriving gay community in the capital.
His partner, Phineas Newborn III is a broadway producer and the pair will tie the knot in New York on August 31, Malaysia National Day, which Ouyang ays holds a lot of significance to him.
“I am not promoting homosexuality or gay culture but honesty, love, justice,” said Ouyang, “A lot of people make the wrong assumptions and stereotype homosexuals, which is why I came out publicly and why I think other gay people should come out as well.”
He says that many Christians seem to be “ok” with homosexuality but he still faces backlash from church leaders. “They will say you can’t do this, but my question to them is, do what? I don’t have to do anything to be gay.”
We hope he has a wonderful wedding! Such a brave thing for him to do to have come out in the face of such potential religious persecution. He’s done a very admirable thing for the gay community in Malaysia and abroad and deserves to have nothing but happiness on his wedding day!

Just when I think I couldn’t possibly be happier I catch a tear running down my cheek because I find myself in a moment that does make me happier. Living a life with the woman of my dreams, actually being WITH the woman of my dreams, is as if I am living a dream and everything is possible. It’s an unexplainable feeling. Maybe I should see if I can fly, that way I would know that I am dreaming, but I don’t want to be. I want to live and continue living like I can do anything. I pray and I hope for opportunity to present itself to me, and to us. Because both of us can see the future so clearly and for her I would do anything to make it happen. All I want for her is to be as happy as she makes me every day. It’s overwhelming and I can’t believe my luck. I overuse the word LOVE and I love it. Never would I have thought to be a married woman myself by 2011. Everything about us and about just her is perfect to me. I hope to find the right words one day and put it in a way anyone can understand me, and share my joy with with the world. The possibilities are endless, and for that I am extremly grateful.

Disney blog features a gay wedding! The couple, Erik and Mat, met at a Salsa class on the palindrome 07/07/07, and have visited Disney land every year since. So their obvious choice for the reception was Disneyland Rose Court Garden. Their moms even arrived in style in Cinderella’s Crystal Coach!
Looks like it was a truly magical day, and it was great that Disney made sure to be the happiest place on earth for everyone. Now if we could see some gay characters in Disney films, that would be the ultimate progress!
